Dermal Fillers Pre & Post Treatment

Dermal Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Sculptra)

Pre-Treatment Instructions:

• Avoid blood thinners (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and vitamin E) for at least 1 week before treatment to minimize bruising.

• Refrain from alcohol consumption for 24 hours prior to treatment.

• Discontinue retinoids and exfoliating products for at least 24 hours.

• Arrive with a clean face and free of makeup.

• If you have a history of cold sores, especially near the lips, inform your provider for pre-treatment antiviral medications.

Post-Treatment Instructions:

• Avoid touching, massaging, or manipulating the treated area for 24 hours.

• Mild swelling, bruising, or redness is normal and should resolve within a few days.

• Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment.

• Avoid sun exposure or hot environments (saunas, hot tubs) for 48 hours.

• Use an ice pack on the treated area to reduce swelling.

• If you experience excessive pain, redness, or prolonged swelling, contact your provider.
